The atmosphere looked generally relaxed as the people, patiently waited for their turn to cast their ballot. At Atwima-Boko R/C Primary ‘B’, in the Kwadaso Constituency, 65 out of the 920 people expected to vote at the centre had voted, as of 0800 hours.

Sixty (60) had cast their ballot at the Bantama Methodist Centre. The voter population here is 540.  Mr. John Atia, the Presiding Officer, told the GNA that, things had so far gone well. The absence of validation stamp, delayed voting for about an hour at the New Bantama M/A Primary School, centre where 695 have registered to vote.

In the Kwabre East Constituency, voter enthusiasm has been high. At Ahwiaa- Anyinam, Ebuom Taxi Rank, R/C primary and D/A JHS centres, early turn our was impressive. Things were not any different at Mamponteng Fire Service, Asenua D/A, Aboaso and Ntonso-Tewobaabi centres.

At the Ntonso Old Court House the Presiding Officer, Mr. Kwadwo Boahen, told Reporters covering the election under the “GNA Tracks Election 2016,” project, funded by Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), the nation’s foremost indigenous oil marketing company, and CIMG 2015 Petroleum Company of the Year, that 91 people had voted as of 0815.

There are 901 registered voters at this centre.                                     

Voting has also been peaceful in the Asante-Akim North Constituency. All was calm at the Agogo CMB Station ‘A’, CMB Station ‘B’, Court House ‘A’ and Court House ‘B’ centres. In the Ejisu Constituency, voting has so far been smooth with no reported nasty incident. The election materials were delivered on time and a visit to the polling centres at Kokobra, Baworo and Ejisu, saw voters calmly taking their turns, to vote.

At the Ejisuman SHS ‘B’ where 663 voters are expected to vote, 58 had already gone through the exercise, with 76 out of the 936 voters in the Experimental School One ‘A’ having voted by 0822 hours.
